Boots Farley

Boots Farley is a well recognized and respected professional in the PGA. In the Northern Chapter of the North Florida Section, his peers have voted him as Teacher of the Year twice, Professional of the Year
twice and Junior Golf Leader three times. These credentials have led him to win two Section Awards, one for Junior Golf Leader and the other the Bill Strausbaugh Award. The winners of Section Awards are automatically entered into the running the National Awards in that category.

The Junior Golf Leader Award is for outstanding contributions in the promotion and development of junior golf and reflecting the ideals of those who work with youth. The Bill Strausbaugh Award is for distinguished service in mentoring other PGA professionals, integrity and character reflecting positively upon the professional and outstanding involvement in charitable and community affairs.

In March of 2009, Boots was hired as the Tournament Director for the North Florida Junior Golf Foundation. This organization is committed to providing opportunities to junior golfers interested in gaining tournament experience in the local area. The mission of the NFJG is to provide affordable, quality, competitive events for boys and girls, ages 8 to 18, and provide a place to build a solid golf game, gain tournament experience and compete for the love of the game.

The NFJG is fortunate to be headquartered at the Golfplex at UNF. The Golfplex has terrific practice facilities and four regulation golf holes and is open to the public.

Boots can be found at the Golfplex most days and his lesson book is always open. Boots works with anyone, from juniors to beginners to advanced players. Lessons can be booked through the pro shop.
